How Many Flower Arrangements Does Your Office Actually Need?

When offices first start thinking about fresh flowers, the sizing question comes up almost immediately. How many arrangements do you need for a team of 40? What about 100?
Here is a practical guide based on how most NYC offices are actually laid out.
Start with the spaces people see
Not every area in your office needs flowers. Focus on the spaces with the most traffic or visibility.
Reception and entry: This is the non-negotiable. One arrangement at the front desk or near the elevator bank makes the biggest impression per dollar. If you have multiple entry points, consider one per entry.
Conference rooms: Client-facing conference rooms are a good second priority. Back-to-back meeting rooms used only for internal calls are a lower priority. A good rule: if a client will sit in that room, it should have flowers.
Common areas: Kitchens, lounge areas, and open-plan seating areas are optional but add a lot when the team is in-office frequently. One arrangement in a central common area is usually enough.
By office size
Here is how it breaks down in practice:
- 10 to 30 people: 3 arrangements covers reception plus one conference room and one common area. That is our Studio plan.
- 30 to 75 people: 5 arrangements covers reception, two client-facing conference rooms, and two common areas. That is our Office plan.
- 75 to 150 people: 8 arrangements covers reception, multiple conference room clusters, and the main common areas. That is our Suite plan.
These are starting points. Some offices put more emphasis on conference rooms; others care most about the lobby. We can adjust the breakdown if your office is laid out differently.
What to skip
Not every corner needs flowers. Storage areas, back offices, and rooms that clients never see are low-priority. The goal is coverage in high-visibility spaces, not total coverage.
How to test the right number
